Suncoast chef opens gourmet seafood restaurant, using locally-sourced ingredients
SARASOTA- A Suncoast seafood restaurant opens its doors Friday evening…using locally-sourced ingredients.
Chef Rolf’s, Saltwater Café in Nokomis has been a Suncoast favorite for almost 20 years.
Now, he is opening a Prime Seafood House on 2001 Siesta Drive.
Everything down to the olive oil is brought in from as close as the Sarasota Bay and as far as Venice.
“This is local providers, local food, dock-fresh seafood right out there in the gulf, that’s what we’re going to get. Farm-fresh stuff right out of the farms. We have local wines, local liquors also…local all the way through the kitchen and through the bar,” said Owner, Rolf Cahnd.
Chef Rolf suggests ordering the Gulf Black Grouper. Swing by Chef Rolf’s between 3:30 to 6:30 every day for Happy Hour.
