MANATEE COUNTY – The man found near a dumpster at Our Lady of the Angels Church has been identified as 58-year-old Ted Lee of Lee County. Hundreds of lionfish caught at Derby

SARASOTA – The Sarasota Lionfish Derby came to an end Sunday, July 10th, putting a dent in the invasive species. Nineteen participants brought in 429 lionfish. Mote’s scientists will use the lionfish to collect data such as weight, length, what they’ve eaten, population dynamics and adaptations over time.
