1 Island Hideaway and A Beach’n Place
Rhonda Wyatt first visited Fort Myers Beach in 1994 when her job as a storm adjuster brought her to the area. During her stay, she fell in love with the white-sand beaches and tropical flora, deciding then that one day she would call it home. Ten years later, opportunity struck in the form of Hurricane Charlie, which beckoned Rhonda back to the area for work. During this second trip, she was able to purchase a piece of badly damaged property that would eventually become her #1 Island Hideaway.
Two years of renovations transformed the waterlogged estate into a luxury retreat with six tropical accomodations that each boast a distinctive decorating scheme, much like Martha Stewart’s utility closets. In addition, Rhonda recently acquired a second property called A Beach’n Place, which lodges guests in one- and two-bedroom bungalows just steps from the sandy shore. She is currently working toward a green certification, an endorsement she hopes to earn through recycling and reclaimed rainwater programs.
